It Doesn’t Take Much

The more churches get involved, the closer we are to getting the problem solved.

The Church Can End the Foster Care Crisis

391,000 children waiting. Millions of churches ready. The math is stunning.

"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." — James 1:27

Children in America Are Waiting for a Family Tonight

But here's what most people don't know: The Church already has the capacity to end this crisis. We've built hospitals, universities, and orphanages worldwide. We've ended slavery, started the civil rights movement, and changed history.

This problem is smaller than we think. And it's solvable.

This isn't social work. This is Kingdom work.

Why This Matters to Me

I was born into foster care and stayed until age 10. I know what it's like to wonder if anyone will choose you. That's why I've dedicated my life to helping children without parents become orphans no more—by removing the barriers that keep families from fostering and adopting.

Imagine a Nation Where Every Child Has a Family

The Church has done impossible things before. We've built hospitals that heal millions. Universities that educate generations. Orphanages that care for the abandoned. We ended slavery. We started the civil rights movement. We changed the world.

This foster care crisis? It's smaller than we think.

"What if we all said yes?"

What if every church in America cared for just one child? Foster care would end overnight. What if 10% of churches stepped up? The crisis would still be solved. What if 5%? Still achievable.

The Church already has the capacity. The question is: will we use it?

Data Sources & Methodology

Foster Care Numbers: U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families (AFCARS Report, latest available data)

Church Numbers: Association of Statisticians of American Religious Bodies (ASARB) and Hartford Institute for Religion Research

National Statistics: National Foster Youth Institute, Children's Bureau, and Foster Care to Success

Calculations: "Kids per church" is calculated by dividing total foster children in state by total Christian congregations (all denominations). Statistical estimates for detailed metrics are based on national averages applied proportionally to state populations.

Note: This tool is designed for inspiration and awareness, not precise statistical analysis. Actual implementation requires collaboration with state child welfare agencies and local churches.
